General-purpose polystyrene :
A thermoplastic resin that is colorless, odorless, odorless and shiny, transparent beaded or granular solid. The density is 1.04~1.09, the transparency is 88%~92%, and the refractive index is 1.59~1.60.
It can resist the effects of certain mineral oils, organic acids, alkalis, salts, lower alcohols and their aqueous solutions.
It has low water absorption and can still maintain its mechanical properties and dimensional stability in humid environments. The optical properties are second only to acrylic resins.
It has excellent electrical properties, high volume resistivity and surface resistivity, and is not affected by changes in temperature and humidity, nor is it affected by corona discharge. Radiation resistance is also very good.
