反应器夹套通过提供蒸汽、冷却水、冷冻水、热水等公用工程来维持反应条件。固体通过人孔/喷嘴手动充入反应器，液体则通过连接到反应器的液体输送管道或人孔手动充入。
反应堆罐溶液或浆料通过氮气压力或泵通过底部排放阀从反应器中排出。
