Iron oxide pimgents are one kind of colorful powder with excellent physical and chemical properties. Hiding strong, high color
strength,color gentle, stable performance, and is a green and environmentally friendly non-toxic paint; alkali on the weak acid
and the acid has a certain stability, has excellent light fastness, heat resistance, non-soluble in water and organic solvents,
has
excellent anti-rust anti-ultraviolet radiation and so on.
Ferric oxide is a kind of inorganic substance, chemical formula is Fe3O4, black crystal with magnetic, so it is also known as magnetic iron oxide. It cannot be regarded as "ferrous metferrite "[Fe(FeO2)2], nor as a mixture of ferrous oxide (FeO) and iron oxide (Fe2O3), but can be approximately regarded as a compound of ferrous oxide and iron oxide (FeO ·Fe2O3). The substance is insoluble in water, alkali solution, ethanol, ether and other organic solvents. Natural ferric oxide is insoluble in acid solutions and readily oxidizes to ferric oxide (Fe2O3) in air under wet conditions.

A lemon yellow to brown powder. Relative density 2.44 ~ 3.60. Melting point 350 ~ 400ºC. Insoluble in water, alcohol, soluble in acid. The fine powder is a crystalline iron oxide hydrate. Due to the different production methods and operating conditions, the degree of hydration is different, and the crystal structure and physical properties are very different. Good coloring power, covering power, light resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance and heat resistance. Water of crystal is decomposed above 150ºC, and most of it turns red above 400ºC. Inhalation of dust can cause pneumoconiosis, the maximum allowable concentration in the air is 5mg/m2.

IRON OXIDE PIGMENT RED
In iron oxide pigments, the dye that is dyed red is called iron oxide red, and its physical properties are very different from the
crystal structure. Its luster color is between orange, violet and blue, and its coloring power is as strong as iron oxide
yellow,and its density is between 5-5.25. Its chemical composition is iron trioxide, chemical properties: good high temperature
resistance, alkali resistance, turbidity gas resistance, but not acid resistance, heating will be dissolved under acidic
conditions.
