1.Loading: The mold is loaded with a predetermined amount of powdered polymer resin, typically polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP). The mold is then closed and sealed.
2.Heating: The carousel rotomolding machine rotates the molds into an oven chamber. The chamber is heated, and the molds slowly rotate, allowing the resin to melt and evenly coat the inner surface of the mold due to centrifugal force.
3.Cooling: After the melting phase, the molds are rotated out of the oven and into a cooling station. Cold air or water is circulated around the molds to cool and solidify the molten resin, forming the desired shape.
4.Unloading: Once the part has cooled and solidified, the molds are rotated to an unloading station, where the finished parts are removed from the molds.
