What is silica gel?
Silica gel is a transparent, glass-like, granular particles, usually obtained by the reaction of sodium silicate and sulfuric acid, and after a series of processes such as aging and acid bubbles. Its main component is silica. As a desiccant, it has an average pore size of 2.4 nanometers and has a strong affinity for water molecules.
