SSW40 pneumatic turnbuckle pliers is a roller-type pneumatic turnbuckle tool used for mechanized turnbuckle operations in marine and land drilling. The application range is 31/2 to 10 (in) drill pipe and drill collar. During tripping and tripping operations, it replaces the previous spinning rope (spinning chain) turnbuckle, making the turnbuckle operation safe and reliable, reducing the labor intensity of drilling workers and improving the tripping speed. Because the air motor in the turnstiles can rotate in the forward and reverse directions, it is more advantageous to use it in core removal operations and handling underground accidents.
The whole working process of SSW40 pneumatic turnbuckle pliers: hang the pliers vertically 0.3 - 0.5 meters above the drill pipe joint, and the operator moves the turnbuckle pliers towards the wellhead to make the drill pipe enter between the four rollers of the pliers head; manipulate the air spring to clamp the air valve to make the rollers press the drill pipe; then manipulate the air motor valve handle to start the left and right motors. The motors drive their respective driving rollers to rotate through left and right reduction mechanisms. Due to the action of friction torque, the drill pipe rotates accordingly, achieving the purpose of screwing in or out the pipe thread.
For pipes of different diameters, by adjusting the opening of the pliers head to adapt to them, there is no need to replace the rollers, which brings great convenience to manufacturing, use and maintenance.
