Definition of POM (polyoxymethylene resin): Polyoxymethylene is a linear polymer with no side chains, high density and highcrystallinity. According to the different chemical structures in its molecular chain, it can be divided into two types:homopolymeroxymethylene and copolymeroxymethylene. The important differences between the two are: homopolymethylene has highdensity, crystallinity, and melting point, but poor thermal stability, a narrow processing temperature range (about 10℃), andslightly lower acid-base stability; while copolyoxymethylene has low density, crystallinity, melting point, and strength, but goodthermal stability, not easy to decompose, wide processing temperature range (about 50℃), and good acid-base stability. It is anengineering plastic with excellent overall performance. It has good physical, mechanical and chemical properties, especiallyexcellent friction resistance. Commonly known as Saigang or Capture Steel, it is the third largest general engineering plastic.Suitable for the production of wear-reducing and wear-resistant parts, transmission parts, as well as chemical, instrumentationand other parts.
