ULTEM 1000 Resin is an unreinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) resin that may offer a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C. Features are excellent mechanical, electrical and dimensional properties up to high temperatures. The material may offer very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings and
aerospace FAR 25.853 compliance. The material is RoHS compliant and the natural, uncolored, material is halogen free according to standards IEC 61249-2-21 , IPC 4101E and JEDEC JS709B. For colored variants compliance needs to be checked case by case. The base material is transparent amber colored but is also available in custom colors - transparent and opaque. ISCC+ certified renewable
bio-based solutions are available for this grade via differentiated color nomenclature.
Ultem 1000R

Features are excellent mechanical, electrical and dimensional properties up to high temperatures. The material may offer very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings and aerospace FAR 25.853 compliance. The material is RoHS compliant. The material is
available in opaque colors. ISCC+ certified renewable bio-based solutions are available for this grade via differentiated color nomenclature.

Polyetherimide (PEI), 10% Glass fiber filled, standard flow Polyetherimide (Tg 217C). ECO Conforming, UL94 V0 and 5VA listing. ISCC+ certified renewable bio-based solutions are available for this grade via differentiated color nomenclature.

PEI characteristics:
1. PEI is characterized by high strength, high rigidity, wear resistance and dimensional stability at high temperature.
2. Pei is an amber transparent solid. It has inherent flame retardancy and low smoke without adding any additives. The oxygen index is 47%, and the combustion grade is ul94-v-0.
3. The density of Pei is 1.28 ~ 1.42g/cm3, the glass transition temperature is 215 ℃, the thermal deformation temperature is 198 ~ 208 ℃, it can be used for a long time under 160 ~ 180 ℃, and the allowable intermittent high use temperature is 200 ℃.
4. Pei has excellent mechanical strength, electrical insulation performance, radiation resistance, high and low temperature
resistance, fatigue resistance and molding processability;
Adding glass fiber, carbon fiber or other fillers can achieve the purpose of strengthening and modification.
