Description

Silway 9201 is a linear polydimethylsiloxane with an alcoholic hydroxyl on both
ends (ABA glycol siloxane). Unlike other ABA glycol siloxanes,silway 9201 does not
contain excess unreacted monofunctional organic glycol which can impair the isocyanate
reactivity of a polyurethane, resulting in a polyurethane with inferior crosslinking
Because of its high purity, Silway 9201 reacts to form a high quality polyurethane. It
is therefore most suitable as a urethane modifier for synthetic or artificial leather where a
high degree of softness is required.
Typical Applications
As urethane modifier to improve softness, flexibility, lubricity, breathability, compatibility, abrasion resistance and water repellency of synthetic leather.How to use
• Copolymerize Silway 9201 with NCO-endblocked urethane prepolymer.• Copolymerize Silway 9201with MDI and polyol.• Mix Silway 9201, polyisocyanate and polyol, and cure.
