1.E-Cucontacttip
Manufacturedfrompureelectrolyticcopper,thiscontacttiphasaVickershardness(HV)ofapprox.110to115.Thepurityofitscopperensuresverygoodcurrenttransfer,heattransferandthermalconductivity.Asitsoftensalreadyatatemperatureofapprox.260°C,itismoresuitableforthelowampererange.
2.CuCrZrcontacttip
Thealloyingelementschromeandzirconiumofthiscontacttiparesuitableforhigherthermalloads,becausetheyareveryhard.ComparedtotheE-Cucontacttip,theirelectricalconductivityisslightlylower,butthisisnotasignificantfactorformostprocesses.TheCuCrZrcontacttiphasahardnessofapprox.168HVandcanwithstandtemperaturesuptoapprox.500°C.Ithasestablishedasthestandardcontacttipforthemediumtohighampererangewithlowwearaswellashighprocessloadcapacityandismainlyusedforliquidcooledapplicationsandrobotwelding.
