NBRisusedintheautomotiveandaeronauticalindustrytomakefuelandoilhandlinghoses,seals,grommets,andself-sealingfueltanks.Itisusedinthenuclearindustrytomakeprotectivegloves.NBR'sstabilityathightemperaturesfrom−40to108°C(−40to226°F)makesitanidealmaterialforaeronauticalapplications.Nitrilebutadieneisalsousedtoproducemouldedgoods,footwear,adhesives,sealants,sponges,expandedfoams,andfloormats.
