3.Bothendsofthebeltshouldbecutperfectlysquare.Onlacingthebelt,driveinbymeansofahammertheprongsfirstatthesidesandthengraduallytowardsthecenter.Besurethatthelacingontheoppositebeltendsareengagedsmoothlywitheachother.Slipfinallyapairofrockerpinbacktobackintothelacingstoserveasahinge.

4.Thesideofthelacingwhichofwithoutcrossbarshouldrunnexttothepulley.

5.Inspectthelacingregularly,andreplaceitwithoutdelayifithasbeenworn,useonlytherockerpinssuppliedforthepurposeofreplacement.
